T.I. said like the dog howlin’ at the moon, even though he can’t reach it, and can’t control it and don’t know why he’s howlin’, the moon don’t care, because he is so far away, and untouchable. He says, Just let the moon shine!
I’m not sure why, when Shawty Lo rolled through Bankhead asking people if they know T.I., they said no! They trying to say T.I. ain’t from Buckhead, or don’t be coming through?!
Even though it seems like it was scripted somewhat, and most of the people he asked were young bucks and wouldn’t have seen T.I. during the time that he was there…I’m giving T.I. the benefit of the doubt because anybody could have called T.I. out by now!!
Shawty Lo was asked where T.I. was from, and he couldn’t say!!
T.I. is in the process of completing community service hours which is included in his guilty plea deal for him to go speak to young people at schools and other related functions and institutions. Some schools denied T.I.’s offer to speak there.
Now rappers new to making hits, are coming in challenging hip-hop veterans!! Just as Lil’Wayne had the audacity to come at Jay-Z!! Nas had the right to come at young rappers coming in, because it’s the way of life to fight for the top spot and our elders deserve respect!!!
Whether they’re older than us or not-experienced being at the level you want to be at deserves respect. That’s like Beyonce looking at Tina Turner up and down!! Two greats, one was first and it’s nobody’s fault!!
Just as Outkast said that they may not be on the top forever, but until then…The new bloods want in, and they have to take fans or the attention away!!!
T.I. is speaking Shawty Lo’s name due to Lo’s popularity with hits like, Laffy Taffy with D4L, and Dey Know on his solo effort, and also due to the fact that Shawty Lo has implied that T.I. is not really from Bankhead.
Who is Shawty Lo?
Nobody was talking Bankhead before him!!
He was yelling Bankhead in London. That deserves respect for that much!! ATL I believe, as a whole has respect for T.I. Of course there is more to yell out than Bankhead…
Shawty Lo has been rapping he says since 2005. He was with D4L, and dropped that, Betcha Can’t Do It Like Me. He got locked up, and heard that Laffy Taffy bursting through the airwaves like crazy!!! He thought his group was crazy for making the song, but saw that the streets loved it when he went to the club after he got out.
He said that he was facing up to 40 years in prison, so he feels he has a second chance. He says he’s only been rapping for a short time, and it was the response from the people for more that inspired him to keep rapping.
Why would T.I. be in Bankhead when he has no business there? He tours, he sells albums, he has contracts or endorsements to take care of and manage on a regular basis-as well as a family. I wonder how long it took to close the deal for that commercial he did for Chevy. He had to attend meetings, as well as preproduction and post production to some degree. I mean, I know that there is a lot of backstage preparations going on, and I just can’t see a time where T.I. would have time to go and just chill. I would go and do something productive. I guess the people would respect him if they saw him with some type of performing arts or charter school, or transformation for the community and more…
Shawty Lo was sitting in Bankhead chilling talking about how he can be in Bankhead without a problem from anyone…he was talking about how he can wear all the jewelry around his neck with no body guard, and I’m just wondering if he expected for T.I. to be there in Bankhead chilling all day like he said he was doing? There is a time and place for everything…
At the same time, the streets is the streets. It is all about the people. The people will make you or break you. If T.I. is not making the streets happy, then the streets is not going to support him. That goes for anybody.
The bottom line is that you have to give respect to your firsts!!! Then the firsts in the game or ones with most experience have to give respect back to those coming in next or those that were there right next to them when they entered (since it just have to be a competition of who’s first or who’s the hardest)!!! We have to respect each other, and fight for being the best at the same time!!
Of there course there are many great ones, but who makes it out first is always a silent race in everything we do. I remember racing in first grade to get done with my work first. It was the 100 multiplication test that I loved the most…the obstacle course too…
Find something to call you, and believe in that!!!
He didn’t say he was the Best Rapper Alive-Jay Z, Nas, Lil’ Wayne, fought for that! Scarface is definitely respected among high-everybody knows that, and I bet T.I. agrees!!! He just promoted himself, entitled it, and many agree with his self proclaimed title as the, King of the South!!
This Video is Hilarious at the end!!!
