It may be really easy to ignore Dizzy Dustin, Young Einstein and Andy Cooper (or better known as Ugly Duckling). I mean it almost seems like these Long Beach natives are tearing a book right out the Beastie Boys play book, with lyrics, laid back flow, and being three white guys rapping.
But it is hard to ignore what their influences are. They sound like they would fit in a lot better during the late 70’s and the 80’s. Their songs take a look at a more simple time having fun, goofing off, and the simple joys of something like a gold chain.
They are a very fun group to listen to even though it may seem like a bit of a gimmick. Though this may be true it is hard to deny the fact that Ugly Duckling makes very good music and it is proof with the song “Eye on the Gold Chain” off of .
