This is my favorite all time AZ song. This is hip hop at it’s finest especially with DJ Premier lacing the beat on this. I think if AZ did his own thing and just stuck with DJ Premier, we would have had a lot more songs of this quality on our side. Wonder what happend but oh well . . .
Song is called ‘The Format’. This is authentic New York style rap that put rap music on the global scale. Where the beat is tight (So hip hop), lyrics and flow is simply remarkable.
AZ has made a lot of songs with DJ Premier, but this one is a ‘Blazin Joint!’
